FIFA World Cup tour launched at Luzhniki stadium
The President of the RF Vladimir Putin launched the FIFA 2018 World Cup tour. The grand ceremony took place on September, 9 at the reconstructed Grand Sports Arena Luzhniki. The ceremony was visited by the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, FIFA President Gianni Infantino, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Vitaly Mutko, Minister of Sport Pavel Kolobkov, celebrities of the World and Russian football.
Vladimir Putin noted the symbolism of the fact that the tour is starting from the legendary Luzhniki arena, which will trully become the main ground of the coming World championship. The cup will visit 24 Russian towns and over 50 countries.
