Grand Sports Arena "Luzhniki" obtained BREEAM certificate at the interim design stage. BREEAM certification is one of the most popular and wide-spread methods for assessing the building sustainability. It determines the standards of sustainable design and construction and allows to compare various buildings depending on the level of environmental impact.

During the preliminary certification the building was assessed by 10 parameters. Particular attention was paid to waste management, water consumptions and management at the construction phase. 

The final certification of the Grand Sports Arena will take place at the end of 2016.
